Elementary children enjoy their classes by grade at First Baptist Church, and the many opportunities for them to grow in their knowledge of God and how they fit into His kingdom. As with our preschool, all workers pass background checks so parents can be assured they are leaving their children in good hands. A Children's Ministry Team meets regularly to assess all the material used for our children, and to plan activities. Currently the Children's Department uses material from Lifeway.
Following the worship portion of the Sunday morning service, and before the pastor's message, children aged four through second grade are invited to attend Children's Church where they enjoy a story, songs and snacks.
At 6:00 pm each Sunday children age four through fifth grade gather for choir. They have a winter and a spring performance each year. During their choir time together they learn music principles, and have opportunities to learn to use various musical instruments, including hand bells.
During the year the children may participate in camps, community ministry, and fun activities such as roller skating and parties, to name a few.

Royal Ambassadors or RAs is a mission education organization for boys to develop Christian character through missions involvement and virue commitments. In addition, the boys grow spiritually, physically, mentally and in relationships with others. Royal Ambassadors leaders utilize activities that are designed to help boys learn about God's mission, participate in mission experiences, pray for and give to missions and develop and use mission skills. This is for boys grades 1-6.
The Royal Ambassadors motto is: "We are Ambassadors for Christ." 2 Corinthians 5:20.
RAs meets at 6:oo p.m. on Wednesdays throughout the school year.
Girls in Action or GAs is a missions discipleship organization for girls grades 1-6. Girls learn about, pray for, give to and do missions work. They also make new friends and have lots of fun.
The Girls in Action motto is: "Go Forward!"
We firmly believe that "the greatest gift that we can pass on to our children, is the desire to serve God." GA inspires girls with love, strength and compassion for others, while encouraging a Biblical world view. GAs will help your daughter to find her role in God's plan.
GAs meets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays throughout the school year.
